How a claim works

Three steps from breakdown to back on the road

Claims go through the plan administrator, not through us. Their number is on your contract.

Step 1

Call the administrator first

Before any work starts. Their claims line runs day and night, and arranges roadside towing on the same call.

Step 2

The shop gets authorized

The repair facility sends the diagnosis to the administrator for approval. Any licensed shop can do this.

Step 3

You pay the deductible

The contract pays the shop directly. You cover the deductible on your plan and nothing else.

Common questions

The stuff people ask at the desk

Is this the same as a warranty?

Close, but not identical. A manufacturer warranty comes with the car; a vehicle service contract is a separate agreement you buy that pays for covered repairs after that warranty ends.

Can I add coverage later?

Usually yes, as long as the vehicle is still inside the provider's mileage and age limits. Rates go up as miles go on, so earlier is cheaper.

What is not covered?

Routine maintenance, wear items like brake pads and wipers, cosmetic damage, and anything already failing when the contract starts.

Do I have to service the car here?

No. Any licensed repair facility in the country can perform covered work. We are happy to do it, but you are never required to drive back to us.

What happens if I sell the car?

Most plans transfer to the next private owner for a small fee, which makes the vehicle easier to sell.
